Affiliate marketing is when you agree to sell products for other companies, normally one’s you know and trust, and when customers make purchases through you, the company will pay you an agreed commission.
Can I start and grow a business online around my current job?
Absolutely, this is how most people start, in their spare time, having said that, a lot of people are looking for more free time and setting up takes this time initially, but once the setting up is done, it’s designed to free up time.
Do I need a marketing budget?
There are many ways people can get free online exposure using the internet using Facebook, Youtube and many other social media outlets, you can build a following. Paid advertising is quicker where it puts the ad in front of people you have not connected with yet.
Do I need any previous experience?
No previous experience is necessary, personally, when I started, all I could do was cut and paste and send an email. I’ve learned how to do more since then.
Do I need to do any personal selling?
I’ve had a stall in the market selling cosmetics and I’ve operated a haulage business and I currently rent some domestic property. With all of these businesses there is an element of front selling, with your affiliate online business, the affiliate company normally fulfils the sales so you don’t have to, unless of course you want to get involved then you can.
What kind of products can I sell?
There’s an infinity of products to sell online, actually anything you see in the high street you could sell online. Aside that, the things that personally interest me, are the online trainings, the one-to-one mentoring and the internet tools available.
